ADOPTED

Carter, STAR # 1805

Carter was adopted by Kim and Gaston.  They had recently lost their dog and were ready to find a new friend to take on runs, walks, hikes, trips to Colorado, and more.  Kim did a lot of research on the Aussie breed and is ready for this handsome boy’s high-energy needs.  Thank you, Joyce for the transport from the shelter and to Brian and family for fostering and helping this boy find his new home.

Carter was pulled from the shelter and quickly transformed from a scared and anxious little guy to a very loving and sweet Velcro dog. He loves toys, bones and to play chase.  While he’s submissive, we do believe he’d do well in a home with multiple dogs. He loves pets in the morning, has really good hops, and can easily clear the 4-foot fence if he set his mind to it.

He does get very excited at play time and has nipped the kids when they were bouncing around so he can only go to a home with no young children.  He’ll nip at the ankles during playtime, so he does need training on appropriate play.

Small 30 lb. red merle boy approx. 1-2 years old pulled from the Conroe shelter.. We know nothing about him other than he is not neutered and has some vaccinations.. He will be vetted and evaluated by his foster home in Austin.. Carter should be available for adoption around the first of March..
