BoJangles, STAR # 1795

Bo Jangles was adopted by Melinda and will get to live a fun life as her only canine companion, for now!  Melinda was really missing her previous dog, Jack, and was ready to give all of her love and attention another dog.  She’d been watching the STAR program for a while and knew Bo needed to be her next dog.  Thanks, Pam for picking up Bo at the shelter and getting initial vet work and baths. Thank you, Jane for the great foster job and Sue for both recommending STAR and the home visit.

Bo is a great guy!  He came to STAR from the shelter in Brazoria and was in pretty rough shape.  Lots of TLC and a good diet and he’s a happy, healthy guy. Hard to know his age for sure, but we estimate around 7-8 years old and he’s 55lbs.

From his foster home:

Bo enjoyed all of the company over the holidays and was the favorite!  He was very calm with strangers and truly enjoyed being the main attraction.  He will crate up but would prefer to sleep with you or near your or with his fur buddies.  He lives with three other dogs and walks easily on the leash. He does not get on furniture, uses the doggy door and is house-trained.  Bo has not been tested on cats.  Bo does lick his front legs occasionally, think from stress if crated all day and the unfamiliar, FYI trip to vet.  He is a good boy, so far one of my favorite fosters!

We are fairly sure that Bo is a Border Collie.. however he is sweet and an easy keeper.. Please go to the website, read about adoption if you would like to meet Bo. His foster home is in Houston.

Bo was found at the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office shelter.. He is older (hard to say, he was such a mess) and weighs 55 lbs. and previously neutered.. He is heartworm negative.. He immediately went to the vet and got 3 baths and the remainder of his vaccines.. Bo’s foster home will get him a chip and evaluate him.. He will be in N. W. Houston.
