Beaux, STAR #1925

ADOPTED

Beaux, STAR #1925

Beaux found a wonderful home with STAR Alumni, Carole (Katie, STAR #915).  So happy she came back to STAR to adopt again.  Thank you, Jim for fostering and to Terry with help in transport.

Beaux is looking for his forever home!  This very sweet Red Tri Male is around 4 years old and 50lbs.  He ended up with STAR when he was not living his best life with the addition of two babies to the home where he’d been since a puppy. He’d like a place where he gets all the attention!  From his foster home:

“Beaux has quickly settled at our home. While there are no other dogs in the home – all indications are that he’d be a good buddy to other dogs and he has ignored the feral cats that we feed.

Beaux loves being outside in the yard, where he’s got room to play and explore. He does not try to dig out our escape.

He loves his toys and to chew – and demolishes a pig ear pretty quickly. He does like to hide his toys too.

He’s a snuggle buddy at times and wants to be up on the couch with you or wherever else you go.  He can be a bit independent sometimes too. At night, he rests peacefully in his crate. He’s not a huge fan about having to go in but will enter if a treat is offered.

On walks, Beaux will take the leash, but he does pull. It would take dedicated training to get him to walk by someone’s side. He will react to another dog if that dog initiates the barking. Beaux will not be the first to bark at another dog.

Beaux absolutely loves attention. He will sit next to my wife on her recliner. If the adopting home has a female and male Beaux will likely gravitate to the male first.

Beaux will steal food off the counter if he can reach it.”

Beaux has a high tendency to herd (standard Aussie trait) and not a fan of loud, busy young children. We recommend a home with teenagers or adults only.

Since he’s been with STAR, he’s been neutered, is heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccinations. If you’d like to learn more about Beaux, please start by completing our adoption application (under Adopt on this website).  He is being fostered in San Antonio.  MORE PICS COMING SOON
