Adopted Kiki, STAR # 1414

Kiki has found her person. Adopted by Nancy looking for dog to train.. Kiki is definitely that dog.. She will need lots of training and patience.. and love.. Thanks to Chris and Sue for bringing her to STAR and Julie for the home visit.

Available Dog Kiki, STAR # 1414
Don’t be fooled by the sweet look. This 42 lb. two-year-old black tri female is one busy girl and you will have to keep up.. She is super smart and very food motivated, so she will be easy to train and she is going to need training.. She can sit, shake and down and wait and has an off and on recall.. but at this time all commands are at her discretion.. Oddly, she is not interested in balls.. but could be encouraged. She walks okay on the leash after the initial spent and would love to run with you.. Kiki is good with other dogs. she’s a tomboy with the male dogs here. the older one told her to “drop dead” which she took really well … she and the younger ones are “rough and tumble” playmates.. she is very curious about the little dog. As for new people, she does that spooky alarm bark when she meets strangers but nothing ever comes of it.. we all ignore her.. and she gets over it quickly.. Probably not so good with younger children as she sometimes still jumps up and has been know to bonk you on the nose.. And probably no cats while she doesn’t know any, she is obsessed with the squirrels and has actually caught one.. 🙁 Kiki is spayed, current on her vaccinations and chipped..She recently had puppies so she has lost most of her coat. We do have “before” photos and it will come back.. Her foster home is very attached and will be extra picky to make sure Kiki gets the home she needs..someone who is willing to put in the work to have a devoted companion. Her foster home is in Houston.. Please fill out the adoption application if you think you are Kiki’s person.
