Basil, STAR # 1752

Basil was adopted by his foster home where he quickly captured their hearts.  This handsome young puppy has had a lot of change in his young life from being at the LaPorte shelter, to being returned by an adopter, to safely landing in the Snyder household where he fit in perfectly.  Thanks to Jack for fostering Basil and giving him a loving forever home.

Basil is a handsome young puppy, approximately 1 year old and 20lbs.  We thought he was a very small puppy and were told he was much bigger – but turns out he’s a mini.  He’s had lots of change in the last year from being pulled from the LaPorte shelter after an owner release who said he had “too much energy” to being adopted but now returned to STAR as his family decided he was not for them.  So, he’s back safely with STAR and will be evaluated and to the vet for a checkup.  He may be available for adoption late January.

DISCLAIMER:  This dog is obviously not a purebred standard Australian Shepherd.  He is a mini… We were given incorrect information. However, because he came from a shelter, we will not return him but adopt him out to a great home.
