Jazzy, STAR #1755
Jazzy was adopted by Kim Z. Jazzy was found in the shelter in LaGrange Texas and landed with STAR. Her blue eyes enchanted Kim right away and told Kim that she was the new best friend she was looking for. Lots of walks and snuggling are in Jazzy’s future. This family, like many other in Houston, had their home flooded in Harvey and have also since lost their two dogs, so Jazzy fills a huge void. Thank you, Nancy for fostering Jazzy and helping her get to her furvever home. Thank you, Kathy for doing the home visit.
Jazzy is a spayed, beautiful blue eyed, black tri female. She is about 2 years old, so she still has a lot of puppy in her and a lot to learn. She is currently underweight at about 35 pounds, but has a great appetite so that should be resolved soon.
She is fast, especially when running off with a floor mat. She will stay close to you and follow you everywhere. She enjoys chewing on hard toys like bones and such and a big fan of the belly rub. She has shown an interest in fetch but hasn’t quite gotten into the game yet. She gets along well with her two older Aussie roommates, one male and one female, both about 6 years old. She has just started to try to interact and play with them, she is still a little shy.
She is quite the accomplished counter surfer! She goes in her crate easily and appreciates a treat for doing do. She is crated for her overnight sleep and when her foster mom is away from the house. This sweet girl is still a puppy with puppy tendencies and needs to be supervised.
She could use some additional time with leash manners and has not been taught the basic commands such as sit. We’re working on that, she’s a quick learner and loves treats. She is housebroken, she gets taken out often during the day. She can be a bit shy and wary at first but warms up quickly.
She has a bit of a knot on the inside of her right rear leg. The xray showed it to be from an already healed fracture and it does not cause her any discomfort and the vet thinks it may even decrease in time. She’s been fully vetted and is HW negative.
Are you the lucky person who will teach her how wonderful life can be?
