Congratulations to the Smith family from Conroe.. Another example of a “boy and his dog”… Kahuna will be a handful but he has an eager trainer.. Thanks to Gaylene for pulling him from MCAS and to Deb and Jim for fostering..

Available Dog Kahuna, STAR # 1402

Kahuna is a one-two year old red bi male… looking for his forever family.. maybe they are up this tree 🙂 While he was thought to be shaved when we pulled him from MCAS, we now feel he may be that rare Aussies that will not leave “tumbleweeds of fur” on your kitchen floor. he has really short hair. He weighs about 45 lbs., is fully vetted and microchipped.. Here is what his foster mom says about Kahuna.

“Kahuna is a sweet and loving as most Aussies are. My guess, he is young based on behaviors. He has some impulse control but can be excitable (kids swimming and running) and still jumps up on people to greet them. Loves to play with other dogs. Wants to play with people like they are dogs. He is mouthy even when you scratch his back. He is housebroken and is crate trained but can be left out of the crate overnight. He would dearly love to curl up next to you all night. However if he hasn’t had enough exercise he will play with toys at 2am. !!

No small children because he may hurt them on accident with his exuberance and mouthy behavior.

Untested on cats.

New Dog Kahuna, STAR # 1402
Picked up at MCAS.. 45 lb. 1-3year old red tri male. He’s at the vet for neuter and vaccinations. HW- Foster home will be in Clear Lake. Should be available in the middle of July.
