Indie, STAR #2046

Indie came to STAR when the addition of a baby in the home meant she was not getting the attention she needed, but we have found her a home where she’ll get all the attention, balls to chase, and TLC this good girl needs. Kate and Andy are dog and rescue savvy – and we welcome them, and Penny (left/whippet), to our STAR family.  Thank you, Lisa for fostering this good girl and Jane for the home visit.

Are you looking for a dog that is move-in ready?? Well, today is your lucky day! Meet the beautiful, smart, energetic and loveable Indie! This Black-Tri Aussie girl is six years old, weighs 40lbs., is fully vetted, microchipped, freshly groomed and looking for her furrrrever home.

She has the cutest expressions when she is waiting for instructions or your next move…she is always ready. Indie is crate and potty trained and is allowed free rein of the house at all times. She sleeps quietly by the bed at night and is always ready for a new day.

This girl is a happy one and a joy to be around. Her all-time favorite pastime is retrieving the ball…over and over again:) Enjoys her walks and whatever comes up each day. She is housed with another female and male Aussie and initiates the party, but she also loves to lay right by or on your feet and will even plop on your lap for some pets. She has been around cats and is fine – but very interested in their food and the litter box “treats” – so must separate!

If this sounds like your forever friend, then please fill out an application and we can see if she is the perfect fit for your family. Indie’s foster home is in New Braunfels.

IMPORTANT: We do not deliver dogs to adopters. You must be able and willing to come meet the dog in their foster home. A home visit by one of our STAR volunteers is a required part of our adoption program. Adoptions outside of Texas are rare because of these requirements. You must have a secure fence in place, and we are not fans of apartments for this breed, nor homes where the dogs will be home alone 8+ hours daily. All STAR dogs are adopted to be inside pets and family members only and all current or past pets in the home must have proof of being kept up to date on vaccinations and Heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $300 and trust us, we spend that or much more on dogs to get them vetted – all STAR dogs will be neutered/spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on monthly heartworm prevention. If you already have an application on file with us, you can contact us to let us know you are interested.

Welcome to STAR Indie! Indie is a stunning black tri female, around 6 years old and 40 lbs. Recent addition of babies to the household meant that she was not getting the attention and exercise Aussies need. So, we’ll assess her in a foster home in Spring Branch and she may be available late October.
