Atlas, STAR #1993

Atlas hit the jackpot and is heading home with the Emmons family including his new fur-buddy, Winston – who is very excited to have a zoomies companion. The family is active with hikes, running, and scouting – so we know Atlas will have a fun and busy life. Thank you, Beth and family for fostering and Tracy for the home visit.

Say hello to Atlas, a stunning 3-year old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd with big beautiful eyes, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give.  Weighing in at 58 pounds, Atlas is neutered, microchipped and ready to find his forever home.

This handsome boy is a total lover – gentle, affectionate and happiest when he’s close to his people.  He gets along wonderfully with my three Aussies (one female and two males), adores playing fetch, and has an especially soft spot for balls of any kind.  He’s the kind of dog who will chase a ball for hours and then curl up next to you like a 10-pound lap dog…because in his mind, he is!!

Atlas is smart, responsive and comes when called.  He’s crate-trained and sleeps soundly through the night in his kennel.  He eats well and takes treats gently.  Whether it’s playtime or snuggle time, Atlas is all about being part of the action.  He would be perfectly content as the only dog in the household as well. Atlas would benefit from some additional training (mostly leash work).  He knows sit and shake.  We are working on stay.  He also rides great in the car and loves to go on outings.  Atlas has not been tested with cats or small children.
