Champ, STAR #1846
Champ went from the Guadalupe Shelter to STAR and today, this lucky boy is heading home with the Duran family. Champ was quickly enamored with his new family including his new 9yr old buddy and his older sisters – everyone is looking forward to having another dog in the house. Lots of running, fetching, and walking are in Champ’s future along with playtime with Benji the Maltipoo. Grandma is moving in soon with this busy family and she’s excited about Champ too! Thank you, Pam for fostering another STAR dog, to Terry for transport and Jack for the home visit.
Champ, “Cuppy” – came to us from the Guadalupe County Shelter. He’s approximately 2.5 years old and 45lbs of handsome-ness! From his foster mom:
“Cuppy came to us and was very shy. That did not last long his foster sister pulled him out of that shell. He does now know a stranger but might hang back at first. He has been neutered, updated vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and microchipped.
Cuppy is young and still has a lot of energy. He loves his toys and will have piles everywhere. Cuppy is house trained and never attempted to mark anything. He is very loving and enjoys being loved on. Cuppy will stay wherever you are and will mostly follow you around.
He gets along well with other dogs and people. Always comes when called, will sit and knows down. Does ok with a halter will go in the crate but not very fond of it. Not a big barker and does not dig.”
He’s a very good boy and will be wonderful addition to an Aussie loving home… and did we mention he has the cutest “flag tail?”
To apply for Cuppy, please complete an adoption application which can be found on our website under “Adopt”.
Champ is a handsome black tri male who is about 2.5 years old and 45lbs. He was pulled from the Guadalupe County Shelter in Seguin with no chip and the owner didn’t show up to claim him. He will be vetted and evaluated in his foster home in Houston. Champ should be available for adoption around the middle of August.. His foster home is in Sweeny..
