Nala, STAR #2039

Meet Nala – The Wiggly, Wonderful Work-in-Progress!

Nala is a beautiful, energetic girl who’s come such a long way since entering her foster home! She was released to STAR from owners that had a new baby in the home and not enough time for her. She’s a Black Tri Female, around 3 years old and 40lbs. From her foster home:

At first, she was very shy and unsure at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet and goofy personality shines through. Her crate is her comfort zone — it’s where she relaxes and recharges after a busy day of play and exploring.

Nala loves to go on walks and does well on the leash! She’s a smart, curious pup who will thrive in an active home that can give her plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. She’s also known to be a little paper thief — napkins, notes, you name it! She keeps her foster family on their toes with her silly antics.

When it comes to other dogs, Nala enjoys playing and has learned to respect boundaries. She’s learning that she doesn’t need to be the boss, though she still has a little sassy streak! She’d do great with confident, playful dog friends who can match her energy and help her continue to learn.

Nala is house-trained with just the occasional reminder, sleeps soundly through the night, and loves a good sunbathing session. She’s still learning that new people aren’t so scary — she tends to bark when guests visit — so continued socialization and patience will help her feel more comfortable around strangers.

Nala is a loving, loyal dog who just needs a family willing to give her structure, time, and love. In return, she’ll be your faithful walking buddy, your sunshine on the couch (well, next to the couch — she doesn’t get on furniture!), and your source of endless smiles.

If you’re ready for a playful, spirited companion who will reward your patience with pure devotion, Nala is your girl.
