Roxie, STAR #2143

Our Louisiana Baker’s Dozen Plus 1 introductions end today with our sweet girl, Roxie!

Roxie is a 2-year-old, 38-pound black tri female who has finally left behind the heartbreaking cruelty and breeding situation in Louisiana.  She has officially landed in a wonderful foster home with STAR.

Roxie’s past is one we’ll never fully understand.  Starting now, she has a warm place to sleep, a foster family caring for her, and the opportunity to learn that life can be gentle, predictable, and full of love.

Roxie’s only job is to settle in and take things at her own pace. We’re giving her the time she needs to decompress and become comfortable in her new surroundings. As she begins to trust and relax, we’ll learn more about the personality hiding behind those beautiful eyes.  Her foster home is in the Waco area.  She is fully vetted and spayed.

We’ll share updates as Roxie’s journey unfolds and celebrate every step forward, no matter how big or small.
